Mr. Parry

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on unlawful killings in the Province since his oral answers of 14 November.

Dr. Mawhinney

[holding answer 20 November 1991]: Three civilians were killed in an incident near Craigavon on the evening of 14 November in what appears to have been a sectarian attack on workers making their way home.

The RUC investigation into these and other recent killings is being vigorously pursued. Measures have been taken to enhance the security force presence in areas believed to be most at risk.
