§ Mr. CurryThe EC Commission has tabled proposals for the reform of the tobacco regime which, it estimates, would result in budgetary savings of some 418 million ECU(B)—£291 million—a year when fully implemented. In discussion of these proposals the Government are pressing for the most radical reform negotiable.
