§ Mr. EggarStandard spending assessments replaced grant-related expenditure—(GRE)—assessments from April 1990. GRE components for adult education for each local education authority for 1988–89 and 1989–90 are listed in "Technical Handbook of Grant-Related Expenditure" for the relevant year published by the Department of the Environment. Copies are available in the Library. Standard spending assessments do not contain a separate component for adult education.
