§ Mr. Alan HowarthWe have received a number of representations from the academic and research communities about the proposed SuperJANET network. The spending plans announced in the autumn statement provide for capital funding for the Universities Funding Council in 1992–93 to be £9 million higher than in 1991–92: this should enable a start to be made on SuperJANET.
