§ Mr. YeoThere are no statutory requirements expressly requiring or applying to the fitting of security features in commercial or retail premises in the United Kingdom.
Voluntary guidance relating to the security of buildings against crime is contained in British standard 8220. Part 2 applies to offices and shops and part 3 applies to warehouses and distribution units.
The Department does not keep information on the technical standards and practices applying to security features in commercial and retail premises in other member states.
