§ Mr. CryerTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will obtain from the Health and Safety Executive information about the activities of the Executive in connection with the recent death of Jasbir Singh at Idwal Fisher Ltd., Bradford.
Mr. JacksonThe fatal accident to Jasbir Singh on 9 April 1991 at Idwal Fisher Ltd., Bradford was reported to the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) West and North Yorkshire area office immediately after it occurred. The HSE began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident the same day. HSE is currently awaiting the outcome of additional inquiries being made by the police, with whom it is co-operating, before deciding what if any further action may be appropriate.
