§ Mr. David HuntMy Department, the Welsh Development Agency and other Government agencies operate a wide range of measures aimed at combating unemployment. The Welsh Office and all the other bodies will continue to look for and respond swiftly to opportunities that arise which have the potential to reduce unemployment.
I have asked particularly that the Welsh Development Agency and the West Wales training and enterprise council look together at action which needs to be taken, in consultation with the local authorities, to alleviate the effects of the proposed closure of Royal Navy armaments depot Trecwn.
