§ Mr. EggarUp-to-date information on the number of families with children in full-time schooling is not readily available. The latest available pupil numbers show that in 1990–91 there were 7 million pupils up to age 18 studying full-time in schools in England. The latest available equivalent figure for the United Kingdom, for 1989–90, is 8.4 million.
