§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list those species of wild-caught birds which are traded and where doubt exists as to the sustainability of such trade, as recommended by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee.
§ Mr. BaldryIn section 5 of its report on the wildlife trade, the Joint Nature Conservation Committee listed 47 species about which it was concerned. Copies of the report—which indicated that the European Community has already taken action to restrict or prohibit trade in most of the species listed—were placed in the Library of the House last month.
