To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people have died as a result of the use of plastic bullets since 1970.

[holding answer 7 November 1991]: Since 1970, 14 people have died as a result of being struck by plastic baton rounds, a further two people have also died as a result of being struck by rubber rounds, the use of which was phased out in 1975.
