§ Mr. AllenTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security, further to his answer of 5 November,Official Report, column 93, on what date he will (a) issue a circular to local authorities about notifying those newly eligible for 475W income support as a result of the uprating statement and (b) announce the results of his consideration of further steps.
§ Miss WiddecombeThe circular was issued to local authorities on 8 November. Any announcement about other steps, which will be taken in good time for the uprating, will be made as and when appropriate.
