HC Deb 11 November 1991 vol 198 c351W
Mr. Hinchliffe

To ask the Attorney-General if he will introduce provisions to ensure that the Office of the Social Security Commissioner supplies claimants with details as to the reasons why they have been refused leave to appeal against a decision of a social security tribunal.

The Attorney-General

It is not proposed to alter the provisions of the Tribunals and Inquiries (Social Security Commissioners) Order 1980 which exempts commissioners from the obligation to give reasons for decisions on applications for leave to appeal.
