HC Deb 06 November 1991 vol 198 c176W
Sir Eldon Griffiths

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what estimate he has made, or received from the regional health authority, about the costs of re-providing at West Suffolk and Addenbrookes hospitals the facilities that will be closed at Newmarket hospital in the event that the latter is run down to community status;

(2) what information he has received from the East Anglian regional health authority about its plans to continue Newmarket hospital as a general hospital for three years after any decision is taken on the authority's proposals to downgrade it to community status.
