§ Mr. BaldryMy Department is currently undertaking a comprehensive review of tree preservation policies and legislation. We have also made available resources for the Countryside Commission to provide grants for amenity planting, and have supported initiatives to create community forests near towns and cities and to establish a proposed new national forest.
