§ Mr. MellorThe information requested for local authority current expenditure in Scotland and Wales, consistent with that given in the statistical supplement to the 1990 autumn statement (Cm 1520), is given in the tables. All local authority expenditure within Northern Ireland falls within the responsibility of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. MellorData on identifiable general Government expenditure by function and territory in the years 1985–86 to 1989–90 are given in appendix E of the statistical supplement to the 1990 autumn statement (Cm. 1520). Corresponding data for earlier years are not readily available on a directly comparable basis with these figures.
