§ Mr. MacleanThe availability of EC grants for the construction and modernisation of fishing vessels under EC regulation 4028/86 is not dependent on the introduction of a decommissioning scheme. When the latest tranche of EC grant aid was decided last month, no applications for EC grant aid for new construction were successful in any member state.
