To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many employees at Rosyth and Devonport are currently contributing to Government-established pension schemes.

In common with all other civil servants other than those who choose to make private arrangements, MOD employees at Rosyth and Devonport are covered by the principal civil service pension scheme. This is non-contributory except for a deduction of 1½1 per cent. of pay in respect of the spouses'/dependants' benefits element of the scheme.
