Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what evidence he has that fully automatic weapons, including the Uzi submachine gun, are illegally on sale in south Wales; and if he will make a statement.

I am aware of the allegations made in "The Cook Report" television programme broadcast on 20 May. The investigation of such matters is for local chief officers of police, to whom any relevant information should be passed.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will obtain for his departmental library a video recording of the Central Television programme "The Cook Report", broadcast on 20 May.
