To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many appeals against the uniform business rate have been lodged in the areas covering the parliamentary constituency of Blyth Valley.

By 31 March 1991, the valuation office had received 836 proposals to alter the 1990 rating list in respect of the area of the parliamentary constituency of Blyth Valley.
