§ Mr. David HuntA total of £33.3 million was paid out to 15,103 hill livestock compensatory allowance claimants in 1990. The United Kingdom financial limits led to payments to 529 claimants being reduced by a total of £220,949—0.66 per cent. of the total expenditure. The amount that would have been payable if the United Kingdom had adopted the EC maximum limits could be calculated only at disproportionate cost.
