HC Deb 22 May 1991 vol 191 c506W
26. Mr. Churchill

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the progress of relief operations in northern Iraq.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

The relief operation is going well. Refugees are coming down from the mountains in increasing numbers. With the assistance of allied forces, many are returning to their homes. United Nations staff are now also working in the area.
