HC Deb 21 May 1991 vol 191 cc425-30W
Mr. David Nicholson

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has received any communications from the directors of further education colleges concerning his statement on 21 March.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I have received a large number of letters from principals of further education colleges since 21 March. The great majority have expressed support for my proposals for the reorganisation of further education.

Mr. Irvine

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list all local education authorities in England in rank order showing the percentages of 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds participating in full-time and full-time plus part-time day education for 1989–90.

Mr. Eggar
