§ 38. Mr. McAllion
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will establish a bilateral aid programme with Vietnam.

§ Mrs. Chalker
The Government have no immediate plans to establish a direct aid programme to Vietnam, but we are keeping this question under review. Meanwhile we are providing financial support to British agencies for projects in Vietnam.
