§ Mr. GummerI have recently discussed our policy on this matter with the all-party parliamentary group for animal welfare and wildlife link, the umbrella group for the major United Kingdom environmental organisations. In addition, the House itself debated this subject on 30 April. My hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary discussed the issue with the Norwegian Government on his recent visit to Norway and my officials have had a number of meetings with representatives of Governments of some members of the International Whaling Commission.
