Mr. Lawson

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish a table showing, for each quarter from the first quarter of 1977 to the first quarter of 1991 inclusive, the total United Kingdom short-term interest rate, using(a) the retail prices index excluding mortgage interest payments and (b) the retail prices index as the deflator.
