To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the daily average percentage of Northern Ireland's electricity generated at Ballylumford power station, Kilroot power station, Belfast West power station and Coolkeeragh power station.

Mr. Needham

The daily average percentage of electricity generated by each of Northern Ireland Electricity's power stations fluctuates widely depending on the price of fuel at the time and maintenance and other routine requirements. During the year ended 31 March 1991, the percentage of electricity generated by Northern Ireland Electricity's four power stations was as follows:
