§ Mr. Allan StewartThe Government are promoting locally based economic development in Renfrew district through substantial assistance to Scottish Enterprise and Renfrewshire Enterprise Company, and through public support for Paisley and Renfrew Enterprise Trust. The Government will continue to invest in the public sector contribution to infrastructure necessary to support further economic development. The district has also benefited from substantial inward investment projects assisted by the Government through Locate in Scotland. Other general measures to help increase industrial efficiency and competitiveness will bring benefit to Renfrew.
