§ Mrs. ChalkerThe European bank for reconstruction and development is working to identify investments in central and eastern Europe to help promote development of the private sector. Initial operational priorities include restructuring of financial institutions, the environment, infrastructure and help with small businesses. No specific investment proposals have yet been put to the bank's board of directors for approval.
