HC Deb 14 May 1991 vol 191 cc119-20W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he has any plans to visit the local offices of his Department in Stranraer, Greenock and Port Glasgow to assess the effectiveness and efficiency with which the offices deal with claims; and if he will make a statement.

Miss Widdecombe

My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, has no plans to do so, but my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary has recently visited other offices in the Glasgow area. All three offices are meeting delivery and accuracy targets for benefits administered locally.
