§ Mr. AtkinsThe National Curriculum Council issued advice to schools, "Curriculum Guidance 8: Education for Citizenship", last November. The document offers guidance to schools on planning and implementing a programme of education for citizenship and illustrates how the topic can be integrated with other elements of the curriculum. It is for individual schools, in the light of this guidance, to determine their own approaches to the teaching of citizenship.
