§ Mr. JackI apologise for the delay in the Department not replying sooner to the hon. Member's letters. Following receipt of the letters, work has been undertaken to fully examine the circumstances of the hon. Member's constituent, and to recheck the information given in the reply he received from the local office manager on 29 January. The case has a number of factors which are being given careful consideration, but inquiries should shortly be completed and a reply will be sent to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
