Whether the Cyprus-registered supertanker "Haven", which recently sank off the coast of Italy, was insured or reinsured in London and, if so, whether the reinsurers, the insurers, and the relevant protection and indemnity club had all insisted on receiving full and up-to-date information about the condition of the vessel and the level and quality of her manning and overall management, in accordance with the doctrine of uberrimae fidei.
§ Lord Brabazon of TaraI understand that the "Haven" was insured on the London market. The insurance of a ship is a commercial matter and we have no knowledge of the information requested by, or provided to, the "Haven's" insurers.
