The 1986 Welsh house condition survey estimated the number of unfit dwellings in each local authority area in Wales for the following categories:

  • (a) local authority properties
  • (b) Housing Association properties
  • (c) New Town Corporation properties
  • (d)private Sector properties

as shown in the following table:
