HC Deb 02 May 1991 vol 190 c326W
13. Mr. Falnnery

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will take steps to hold a representative delegate conference to raise issues conducive to religious tolerance and peace in Ireland.

Mr. Mawhinney

I have no plans at present to hold such a conference. I am pleased to report, however, that the Government have given substantial support to a number of conferences, including a major conference in September 1990, on the role of the churches in community relations in Northern Ireland.
