To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Derbyshire, North-East, on 25 April,Official Report, columns 507–8, if he will list those supplies which were donated to the Overseas Development Administration and give details of the organisations which made such donations.

The following relief supplies on aircraft chartered by ODA were donated:

Supplies Donor
2,500 groundsheets Salvation Army Mersey Regional
120,000 blankets Health Authority
216,000 multivitamin capsules Nature Slim UK

The other supplies on ODA flights were purchased by the ODA from various suppliers, including some non-governmental organisations. The ODA also paid the costs of chartering the Oxfam flight on 22 April, carrying two Land Rovers and drinking water supply equipment. In addition, a further flight has gone to Iran carrying goods donated by the public.
