§ Mr. AndersonTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he is taking to press the European Commission to resume the protocols with Namibia, suspended following the judgment of the Namibian High Court in respect of Spanish vessels caught illegally fishing in Namibian territorial waters.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThis issue has already been raised in the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the Community at Brussels. We understand that the suspension of talks is only temporary and we look forward to their resumption. I shall pursue in Brussels next week.
