§ Mr. BaldryWater pollution control in England and Wales is primarily the responsibility of the National Rivers Authority. Representations received by my Department about local water quality or pollution problems along the River Severn are referred to the NRA in the first instance. Matters relating to flooding are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
