To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what recent representations he has received from the licensed trade about the position of tenants threatened with eviction by breweries.

Written representations have been received from about 40 tenants of one of the major brewers expressing concern about letters they had received from that brewer informing them that they were likely to be sent "notices to quit" by the summer.
