§ Mr. Vaz
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement of the Government's relations with the Fijian Government.

We have good relations with the Government of Fiji.

§ Mr. Vaz
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many representations he has made to the Government of Fiji regarding the treatment of trade unionists and other opposition groups in that country.

§ Mr. Lennox-Boyd
Foreign Office Ministers have, on several occasions, made the Fiji Government aware of our concern about human rights issues and raised specific cases with Fiji Ministers.

§ Mr. Vaz
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what diplomatic steps have been taken to ask the interim Government of Fiji to withdraw the constitution promulgated on 25 July 1990.
