How many prosecutions there have been in each of the years 1989, 1990 and so far in 1991 against cyclists riding their bicycles at night without any, or any adequate lighting; and how many such prosecutions have resulted in convictions.

In England and Wales in 1989, 1,381 persons were proceeded against for lighting and reflector offences on pedal cycles. Of these 1,250 were found guilty. 1990 and 1991 data are not yet available.
