To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received during 1991 from companies selling and marketing timeshare properties.

I have received one such representation.

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he has any plans to discuss in the European Council of Ministers the marketing of timeshare properties.

Mr. Leigh

It is for the presidency to arrange the timing and agenda of meetings of the Council of Ministers. No meeting of the Consumer Council has yet been arranged by the current presidency.
