To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many licences he has granted for the sale of conventional or non-conventional weapons to middle eastern states since the ending of the Gulf conflict.

In the period from 1 to 20 March 1991, 50 export licences have been granted for the supply of conventional weapons to the following middle eastern countries:

UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen. There were no export licences for non-conventional weapons.
