HL Deb 27 March 1991 vol 527 c59WA
Lord Merrivale

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Which British Dependent Territories require entry visas for non-European Community residents of the United Kingdom, and what is the basis for the variation in the criteria applied as to whether a "visitor's visa" is required according to nationality or purpose of visit.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (The Earl of Caithness)

Visa requirements of the Dependent Territories vary according to the immigration policy of each Territory. In general the requirements are based on nationality and the purpose of the visit; not on the country of residence of the visitor.
