HC Deb 27 March 1991 vol 188 c424W
Mr. John D. Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many residents there are in Boyd house at Ards hospital; whether new residents are still being accepted; and if he will make a statement about the future of Boyd house.

Mr. Hanley

There are 43 residents in Boyd house, a 52-place unit for the elderly. There is no waiting list for admission and new residents are still being accepted. The organisation of services at local level is a matter for health and social services boards. I am not aware of any proposals by the Eastern board relating to the future of Boyd house.
