To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when he last met the chairman of the Wakefield TEC to discuss training provision; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Jackson

I intend to meet the chairman of Wakefield TEC on 15 April to discuss a range of training and enterprise issues. Wakefield TEC has provided creative and imaginative plans. I am confident that these will substantially benefit the economy of the Wakefield area.
