Data on central Government subsidies and capital grants to nationalised industries since 1978–79 and on net lending to nationalised industries since 1984–85 are set out in the tables. The tables are consistent with the analyses set out out in the nationalised industries section of the statistical supplement to the 1990 autumn statement (Cm 1520). Corresponding data for earlier years are not readily available.
