(2) if he will now seek to implement the Employment of Children Act 1973;
(3) if he has any plans to review the minimum age above which a child may be legally employed;

§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyWe are studying the report published by the low pay unit and Birmingham city council in consultation with colleagues in other Departments with responsibility for enforcing current legislation on the employment of children. We shall then consider whether any further action is required to safeguard the welfare of such children.
