What is their estimate of the cost of the materials that schools will have to provide in order to conduct the standard assessment task of the 1991 national curriculum assessment arrangements for key stage one.

Baroness Blatch:

The standard assessment tasks to be used for key stage one this year have been designed so that in general the resources necessary to conduct them should he no more than those required for the implementation of the national curriculum.
