What financial aid they have provided to Montserrat to repair the extensive damage to the whole island caused by the latest hurricane.
The Earl of Caithness:We announced on 31st January that the Government are to give Montserrat £12.4 million of new aid towards the cost of a long-term rebuilding programme following the ravages of Hurricane Hugo in September 1989. The Government have already provided over £5 million for immediate emergency relief, the restoration of electricity services, and the repair of many of the more badly damaged schools.
