HC Deb 21 March 1991 vol 188 cc226-7W
Mr. Meale

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether a licence has been issued to the Bicester with Whaddon Chase foxhounds to hunt on Ministry of Defence land at Arncott near Bicester in Oxfordshire.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

No.

Mr. Meale

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether a licence issued to a hunt to hunt on Ministry of Defence land has ever been revoked or if action has been taken for infringement of licensing conditions.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

No licence to hunt on Ministry of Defence land has been revoked for breach of the licence conditions. There have been two occasions in the last five years when hunts have been warned about the conduct of themselves or their followers.

Mr. Meale

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence on what date the licence fee for hunts to hunt on Ministry of Defence land becomes payable in 1991.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

[holding answer 20 March 1991]: There is no specific date in the year for payment of licence fees for hunts to hunt on Ministry of Defence land. Licences with hunts commence on different dates in the year and payment is required at the start of the licence period and before the hunt enters MOD land.

Mr. Meale

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many hunts that had a licence to hunt on Ministry of Defence land have not fully paid the licence fee for 1990 by the end of the year.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

[holding answer 20 March 1991]: There are no outstanding licence fees in respect of 1990 for hunts to hunt on Ministry of Defence land.
